Land, Water and Air Protection in Jeopardy - Speak Up Today

Your Voice Needed as Congress Debates Spending Cuts

Between now and March 18th, Congress will be discussing ways to reduce federal spending. Cuts to programs that AMC cares so deeply about have already been proposed. This includes the almost entire elimination of the Land and Water Conservation Fund and the Forest Legacy Program, which help to protect the most critically important ecological and recreational lands in the Northeast.

Other efforts to remove funding for clean air protections are also taking place, including efforts to block the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from doing its job to reduce air pollution and cleaning up toxins like mercury from our environment.

Please contact your U.S. House and Senate members today to voice support these programs and ensure that we leave a legacy of protected land, water, and clean air for our children and grandchildren.

TAKE ACTION: Contact your Representative and Senators today to support funding for the Land and Water Conservation Fund and to protect the EPA from cuts that threaten clean air.
