There’s Still Time to Make Your Voice Heard on Northern Pass

Hundreds of people turned out to each of the four scoping meetings held late last month in New Hampshire on the proposed Northern Pass transmission project. The meetings were held by the Department of Energy to gather recommendations on what the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) should include. AMC’s Vice President for Conservation, Susan Arnold, delivered comments on behalf of the organization, reiterating our many concerns about the project as proposed. Sentiment at the hearings was overwhelmingly in opposition to the project.

Despite the government shut-down, it is still possible to submit comments before the November 5th deadline. If you need suggestions about what to say, you can go here. Please submit your comments before November 5th—every voice needs to be heard!
