Appalachian Mountain Club's Not Without Peril Wins 2014 National Outdoor Book Award

The Appalachian Mountain Club’s Not Without Peril: 150 Years of Misadventure on the Presidential Range of New Hampshire by Nicholas Howe has won a 2014 National Outdoor Book Award (NOBA) in the Outdoor Classic category, in recognition of its unusual and lasting significance in the outdoor field. More than 70,000 copies of Not Without Peril have been sold since its initial release in 2001.
