This fall, AMC joined with a large group of partners to urge the New York State Gaming Commission’s Facility Location Board to deny a gaming license for a proposed 1,000 room casino and resort in the middle of Sterling Forest State Park. Thank you to our many supporters who took action to stop this project.
The announcement came on December 17th when the Gaming Commission’s Facility Location Board announced the three applicants that would receive casino licenses in New York State, citing strong opposition and economic factors as reasons not to select the proposed Sterling Forest Resort.
